How do I reset my password?
Every once in a while, you’ll find yourself needing to reset your password. Whether you forgot your most recent password or it’s been over six months since you last set it, we all have to do it. Never fear, a password reset is simple and easy to do.
Before you begin, it’s best to make note of our password complexity requirements. These requirements help make your password more secure, but they shouldn’t be the only thing you lean on. Here are some tips to help you make a strong, unique, and memorable password.
Our minimum password complexity requirements are as follows:
- Password length of at least 14 characters
- Must contain at least one uppercase letter (A through Z)
- Must contain at least one lowercase letter (a through z)
- Must contain at least one number (0 through 9)
- Must contain at least one special character (&. !, @, #, etc.)
With the above requirements in mind, check out passwordreset.microsoftonline.com to start the password reset process. Once there, put in your University email address and follow the prompts to reset your password. After a few simple steps, you should be able to set a new password for your University account. Please keep in mind that you will need to use your new password to log into all aspects of your University account, including email, Office applications, and computer logins.
That’s it! Your new password should be ready to use. See? We told you it’d be easy.
