Here are a few simple steps to get your computer talking to your department printer, or to fix any issues with a Windows machine not receiving critical group policy updates and features.
Step 1 – Type "cmd" into the Search bar and click on Command Prompt.
You can also type WindowsKey + R and run cmd as well.
Step 2 – Once you are in Command Prompt, type "gpupdate /force." Hit Enter. When finished, it should look like this
Step 3 – When the gpupdate is finished, reboot your computer
The reboot applies any changes and will ensure that the policy update fully goes through.
